New This Week | May 18, 2026 | Release Version 2.50.0
Text Chat With Your Interpreter
You can now send text messages to your interpreter during a call.
Great for Names, Numbers, Addresses & Anything easier to type than sign
A Refreshed In-Call Look
We’ve updated the look of calls in Convo Call.
Updates include:
- Redesigned call buttons
- Interpreter ID shown on the video screen
👉 Calls are now easier to navigate during conversations.
Stronger, More Reliable Calls
We’ve improved call reliability across more networks and internet types.
This helps reduce:
- Black screens
- Connection issues
- One-way video problems
You may notice improvements on:
- AT&T Internet Air
- Corporate or school networks
- VPNs
- Hotel or public Wi-Fi
- Mobile data (4G/5G)
👉 Calls will more reliably connect in more places.
Plus, Bug Fixes
We also made smaller improvements, including:
- Easier-to-read names and numbers during calls
- General fixes and performance updates

Improved Call Privacy on Mobile
We’ve fixed an issue where interpreter or caller audio could play through your phone speaker unexpectedly. Calls are now more private and controlled on mobile devices.
More Reliable Notifications
We’ve improved call notifications so you’re more likely to receive alerts when someone is calling you. This helps ensure you don’t miss important calls.
Caller ID on Web
When receiving calls on your computer, you’ll now see the caller’s name in your browser notification. This makes it easier to know who’s calling before you answer.
We’re Continuing to Improve
We’re actively building and improving Convo Call based on your feedback. You’ll continue to see updates that make calling more reliable and easier to use.
Improving Call Reliability Across Networks
We’re continuing to improve how calls connect, especially on networks that may be more restrictive.
You may have experienced things like:
- Calls not connecting
- Black screens
- Video not appearing for one side
