We’ve made several updates to improve your experience with Convo Call.
New This Week | August 2026 | Release Version 2.53.0
🔐 Easier Sign-In with Password Autofill
Signing in to Convo Call just got easier. You can now use your phone's built-in password manager to automatically fill in your username and password.
What's new:
- Autofill your saved username and password on the login screen
- Save your Convo Call login information when prompted after signing in
- Use your device's built-in password manager for faster sign-in
👋 More Control Over Your Self-View
You can now choose whether to show your self-view on the Home screen. Turn it off in the menu, and Convo Call will remember your preference for as long as you're signed in.
What's new:
- Turn your Home screen self-view on or off
- Your preference stays saved while you're signed in
- Keeping self-view off may also help save battery life
🔢 Easier Number Selection
If you have more than one Convo number, a new selector in the top bar makes it easier to choose which number you want to call from.
What's new:
- Quickly choose which number to use before making a call
- VRS Español users will see ESP and ENG badges to help identify their Spanish and English numbers
🤖 Improved Incoming Calls on Android
We've fixed an issue that could prevent some Android users from answering an incoming call when their phone was locked with a PIN and the screen was off.

This release also includes additional bug fixes and improvements to help keep Convo Call running smoothly.

📱 Use Convo Call on Multiple Devices
You can now stay signed in to Convo Call on multiple devices using the same account, giving you more flexibility to make and receive calls wherever you are.
What's new:
- Stay signed in on multiple iPhones, iPads, Android phones, tablets, and computers
- When someone calls your VRS number, your signed-in devices will alert you
- Answer from whichever device is most convenient
🏠 A Redesigned Home Screen
We've updated the Home screen to make it faster and easier to get where you need to go.
What's new:
- Type or paste a number to make a call
- Quickly access your recent calls
- Find and call your contacts
🔍 More Flexibility During Calls
Interpreters can now zoom in on your video when needed, giving you more flexibility in how you position or hold your device.
🔧 Additional Improvements
This release also includes general improvements and bug fixes for a smoother Convo Call experience.

💬 Chat Works Better Across Every Device
Using Chat during a call should feel simple and reliable. We've improved the chat experience across mobile, tablet, and web so sharing names, numbers, addresses, and other text information is easier than ever.
What's improved:
- Chat messages are more reliable and consistent
- Chat looks better across different screen sizes
- Keyboard navigation and screen reader support have been improved on the web
- General usability and visual improvements throughout the chat experience
🤝 Clearer Teaming & Call Transfers
When a second interpreter joins a call or your call is transferred, information is now displayed more accurately.
What's improved:
- Interpreter labels now appear correctly during teaming and transferred calls
- Chat messages stay properly associated with the correct participant
- A more consistent experience throughout interpreter transitions

We've also made several behind-the-scenes improvements to help keep Convo Call running smoothly.

Text Chat With Your Interpreter
You can now send text messages to your interpreter during a call.
Great for Names, Numbers, Addresses & Anything easier to type than sign
A Refreshed In-Call Look
We’ve updated the look of calls in Convo Call.
Updates include:
- Redesigned call buttons
- Interpreter ID shown on the video screen
👉 Calls are now easier to navigate during conversations.
Stronger, More Reliable Calls
We’ve improved call reliability across more networks and internet types.
This helps reduce:
- Black screens
- Connection issues
- One-way video problems
You may notice improvements on:
- AT&T Internet Air
- Corporate or school networks
- VPNs
- Hotel or public Wi-Fi
- Mobile data (4G/5G)
👉 Calls will more reliably connect in more places.
Plus, Bug Fixes
We also made smaller improvements, including:
- Easier-to-read names and numbers during calls
- General fixes and performance updates

Improved Call Privacy on Mobile
We’ve fixed an issue where interpreter or caller audio could play through your phone speaker unexpectedly. Calls are now more private and controlled on mobile devices.
More Reliable Notifications
We’ve improved call notifications so you’re more likely to receive alerts when someone is calling you. This helps ensure you don’t miss important calls.
Caller ID on Web
When receiving calls on your computer, you’ll now see the caller’s name in your browser notification. This makes it easier to know who’s calling before you answer.
We’re Continuing to Improve
We’re actively building and improving Convo Call based on your feedback. You’ll continue to see updates that make calling more reliable and easier to use.
Improving Call Reliability Across Networks
We’re continuing to improve how calls connect, especially on networks that may be more restrictive.
You may have experienced things like:
- Calls not connecting
- Black screens
- Video not appearing for one side
We’re actively working on improvements in this area, and you’ll continue to see updates over time.
