Can a Hearing Person Get a Convo VRS Number?
Under the FCC’s 2017 VRS Improvement Order, hearing people may be eligible for VP numbers for point‑to‑point calls only — not for VRS interpreting or 911. Currently, Convo does not offer VP numbers to hearing users, but this may change in the future. Let us know if you’re interested!

In the Spring of 2017, the FCC released the VRS Improvement Order of 2017 which included approval for VRS Providers to assign VP numbers to hearing individuals for point-to-point use only. This means hearing individuals can get a VRS number only for calls to another video phone, but not through a Video Interpreter or to call 911.
